Sponsor rules
Last updated 13 September 2026
These rules keep sponsorships on Sponsor.st honest for visitors, owners and sponsors. Sponsor.st is run by Nishant, a sole proprietor in India, and these rules are part of the Terms.
What a sponsorship can't be
- Anything illegal where the site's visitors are, or that breaks someone else's rights.
- Malware, phishing, or a link that Google Web Risk flags. Links are checked before they go live and again every day.
- Misleading: fake claims, hidden costs, or pretending to be someone else.
- In a category the site doesn't accept. Owners can block categories such as gambling, crypto or adult, and a sponsor picks their category when booking.
How it's checked
- Images are PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 2 MB, and we re-encode them. Text is shown as text.
- Owners choose "Go live automatically" (and may pull a new sponsor within 24 hours) or "Review first" (they approve or reject within 48 hours).
- When a sponsor edits a live creative, the link is checked again and the owner is told.
- A sponsor whose link turns bad is hidden until it's fixed, and that time counts as downtime.
What sponsors get
- Their spot for the booked dates, shown with
rel="sponsored"links. - Traffic counted by our script, not typed in by the owner, and a delivery report at the end: days live, impressions, clicks and any downtime.
- UTM tags on their link, so they can check visits in their own analytics.
What owners owe sponsors
- A full refund when they reject a sponsor in review.
- A refund for the unused days when they pull a sponsor, and for days the sponsorship wasn't shown.
- Refunds are paid in the owner's own payment provider. A refund not marked paid within 14 days shows on the owner's public profile.
If something goes wrong
Sponsors pay owners directly, so Sponsor.st can't refund a sponsorship. Talk to the owner first; the delivery report is the record you both see. If an owner or a sponsor breaks these rules, email [email protected]. We can hide a sponsor, suspend a site, or close an account.
