Wix ads: sell sponsor spots on your Wix site
Short answer
Add your keyed Sponsor.st script in Settings → Advanced → Custom code. Choose “All pages”, “Body - end” and “Load code on each new page”. Wix requires a premium plan and a connected domain. Verify the install, then mark a placement on the live site; the Embed HTML element cannot reach your page.
On this page
<script src="https://cdn.sponsor.st/s.js" data-site="YOUR_KEY" async></script>
Your key is filled in once you add your site.
Start freeAdd Sponsor.st to Wix
-
Get your snippet. Create a free account, add your site and copy the tag from the site's page; your key is filled in.
-
Paste it. Open Settings → Advanced → Custom code → Add Custom Code. (Needs a Wix premium plan and a connected domain.) Paste the snippet, choose "All pages" and "Body - end", then apply.
<script src="https://cdn.sponsor.st/s.js" data-site="YOUR_KEY" async></script> -
Click Check under "Check the install" on your site's page in the dashboard (on first setup it's at the bottom of the install card). Added it through a tag manager? Use Check DNS (a TXT record) or Check file instead.
-
Mark a spot. Open the editor on your live page, click where a sponsor goes, pick a format (Banner, Card, Inline mention, Logo strip or Top bar) and set a monthly price.
-
Connect Stripe or Dodo, then share your booking page or add the "Advertise on {domain}" link to your footer.
Wix notes
Plan and domain. Wix runs custom code only on premium sites with a connected domain. A free site on a wixsite.com address can't load the script.
Load on each new page. Wix moves between pages without a full reload. In the custom code dialog, choose "Load code on each new page" so spots appear on every page a visitor opens.
Wix Studio and the Wix Editor. Both use the same Custom code setting in the site dashboard. Nothing goes on the editor canvas: you mark spots on the live site.
Wix Blog. A spot marked on one blog post shows in the same place on every post, since they share one post page.
If Check can't find the script
- Added with the Embed HTML element. It runs in an iframe and can't reach your page; use Custom code.
- "Head" or one page chosen. Pick "Body - end" and "All pages".
- Spots vanish after the first click. Turn on "Load code on each new page".
- A free wixsite.com site. Custom code needs premium and a connected domain.
Removing it
Wait until running bookings have ended before deleting the tag. Removing it takes the script and its spots off your pages. If your site gets visits every day, a running booking logs downtime from the last time the script was seen; at the booking's end, those days become a refund due that you pay from your own Stripe or Dodo account. Pulling a booking early also leaves a refund due for its unused days.

FAQ
Can I use the Embed HTML element instead? No. That element runs in an iframe and can't reach the rest of your page. Use Custom code in the site settings.
What does it cost? Wix's premium plan is separate from Sponsor.st. Check Sponsor.st pricing for its Free and Pro limits; you still need the Wix plan and domain described above.
